The estimated lead time provided when you placed your order is JUST AN ESTIMATE. It is not a guarantee that the product will be shipped on that date. The estimated lead time gives you some sense of what the current times to source, cut, pack and ship takes. Many times the lead time can be shorter, but likewise it can extend, depending on factors such as previous demand and current supply. We manufacture many components in house, but extenuating circumstances such as down time for maintenance or unscheduled downtimes for repairs might impact dates as well as delays related to our sourced components. There is a constant flow of parts and shipments, and sometimes the visibility becomes a challenge to pinpoint exactly when your product will ship.

Description

This Detonator Yellow powder coated Patented "man shaped" tow shackle has a 10,000 lb work load limit and is designed to make your next tow easier. The unique "B-Ring" shape prevents your snatch or recovery rope from over tightening.

A divider on the inside of the tow shackle doesn't allow a slip knot to slide together making removal easier. This divider also helps with keeping space when two hooks, chains or master links are attached.

A gap on the bottom outside allows for insertion of a screw driver or pry bar in the event that a slip knot or rope does get tightened into a stuck position. You can easily pry it loose instead of having to beat on it with a hammer.

Moose Knuckles are also a great solution to the widely prohibited Truck Nuts and provide a functional yet legal alternative to hanging plastic balls from the hitch receiver of your vehicle.

The Moose Knuckle XL fits any 2.0 or 2.5 inch D-Ring tow shackle receiver hitch bracket mount with a 7/8" (0.875") pin hole and a mount width of 1-1/4" (1.25") or less.

PLEASE NOTE: A very popular bumper mount hole inside diameter is often listed on bumper specs information as 1.0 inch. Many manufacturers use this common bore size when machining their mounts. However, after coating the entire bumper including the inside of the mount holes with thick textured or powder coatings this added thickness decreases the inside diameter of the holes well under 1.0 inch, down to around 0.950in, making the hole size too small for a 1.0 inch pin. In most cases a 1.0 inch diameter hole is intended for a 3/4 size shackle that has a 7/8” (0.875in) pin diameter. This "Raw Dog" uncoated option is ready to add primer and paint or powder coating so you can color match your vehicle or just add any finish of your choosing. Class 6H/6b (2A and 2B equivalent) thread tolerances between the pin and body allow for the addition of these coatings without hindering assembly. (***Please note: this option will show signs of weathering and rust if left uncoated.) Gloss or satin CLEAR powders or paints can be added to maintain RAW metal appearance while also preventing rust and corrosion.
