Please be advised that availability and lead times of those product are solely impacted by the third-party vendor's schedule. Many products are sold under an open inventory method, as the technology to sync inventories is limited, therefore please reach out if a specific product is needed by a specific date for us to double check with the supplier for you!

Any potential delay that occurs in the sourcing, processing, or drop shipment at the third party level will be communicated to the best of our ability to the customer.

ESTIMATED DATE | LEAD TIMES

The estimated lead time provided when you placed your order is JUST AN ESTIMATE. It is not a guarantee that the product will be shipped on that date. The estimated lead time gives you some sense of what the current times to source, cut, pack and ship takes. Many times the lead time can be shorter, but likewise it can extend, depending on factors such as previous demand and current supply. We manufacture many components in house, but extenuating circumstances such as down time for maintenance or unscheduled downtimes for repairs might impact dates as well as delays related to our sourced components. There is a constant flow of parts and shipments, and sometimes the visibility becomes a challenge to pinpoint exactly when your product will ship.

Feel free to check on your order at any time. Be aware that our customer service team may not be able to give you an exact date for completion but rest assured we are tracking your order and it will be built in the order that it was received.

Description

When it comes to strength and weight, the Hitchgate™ Solo packs a powerful punch. With the same tow rating as its bigger siblings and the capacity to carry a 35-inch tire (on a mid-sized truck), the Solo is ready for whatever the adventure calls for. The Hitchgate Solo was designed to go lean and low on the next adventure while still being prepared. The Hitchgate Solo’s reduced weight is perfect for those looking to carry a 35-inch (on a mid-size vehicle) or smaller spare tire, and Rotopax fuel cans.

Not only is weight reduced, but so is the overall height of the horizontal support arm which sits 4″ lower than a Hitchgate Classic or MAX. By relocating the truck mount at the *same level* as the vehicle’s receiver hitch, the Solo is uniquely designed to accommodate vehicles that have a tight clearance between the rear hatch/door and the receiver (Ex: Sprinter, Renegade, Tahoe, Grand Cherokee). The Hitchgate Solo is also a phenomenal candidate for Subaru (see Fitment section below) and any vehicle where every pound counts.

The Hitchgate Solo spare tire carrier universally fits on almost all vehicles with a Class III/2″ hitch receiver. This swing-away, spare tire carrier mounts to any 2-inch, Class III hitch receiver and is perfect for SUVs, Jeeps, vans and pickups. This tough tire carrier secures up to a 35-inch spare tire (on mid-sized vehicles) while maintaining ground clearance with minimal change in departure angles when driving off-road. Release a single latch pin and it opens wide for full access to the vehicle’s cargo space. The Hitchgate Solo line is tow-rated at 7,500 lbs (max trailer weight) and 750 lbs (tongue weight). *These limits may be more than your vehicle’s capacity. ALWAYS stay within the limits of your vehicles tow/tongue ratings)* The tire carrier is rated for 150lbs of total weight. If your tire and wheel reach that limit, you won’t be able to carry any fuel or tools…look towards the Hitchgate Classic or Max for more capacity.

Solo XL (UHG32206): Designed for Sprinters, Promasters, Transits. Full Size vehicles up to a 35”. Lexus GX & LX, Land Cruiser w/clamshell doors. Needs 3" of clearance from Hitch receiver to the bottom of the rear door or tailgate *Swings out 180 Degrees*

***Fitment Notes -

Identify that you have at least 4 ½” from your hitch pin hole towards the front of your vehicle. Doing so will ensure that the Hitchgate will be able to engage its wedge lock design eliminating any wobble or play in your receiver that you may have.

Factors that can result in the receiver tubing not fitting can be caused by:

Receiver tubing has a plate on the back end of the receiver that restricts the hitchgate tubing from running back enough for the wedge lock to have room to engage or hitch pin holes to align.
Some model vehicles have a muffler in the rear that interferes with how far back the tubing is allowed to run. This will require the muffler or exhaust components to be relocated.
You want to make sure the face of your hitch receiver is at least flush with the outer most edge of your rear bumper. Not Receded anymore than 1.5" behind your bumper.

WEIGHT LIMITS: The further your load extends from the Hitchswing, the lighter your load needs to be. If your load is within 3 feet(Or 18″ from hitch to center of load) of the Hitchswing, the max. load is 250lbs. If your load extends beyond 4 feet(Or 24″ from hitch to center of load), the limit drops to 150lbs. The further away the load is from Hitchswing the heavier the load is on it AND your vehicle.

**Notice of maintenance required** - Periodic tightening of the pivot bolt with a torque wrench to at least 60-70lbs every few months is needed to prevent movement on the swing arm and add grease to the shaft of the bolt to prevent rust in snowy areas . Also, over time replacing the Delrin washers and T handle bushings if needed.
