Convertible crossbar kit for the Ford Maverick — starts as a low-profile cargo rack, converts to a full bed rack system. The X-BRS gives you the best of both worlds: a clean, low-profile structure for everyday use, with the ability to upgrade into a full modular bed rack when your build grows.
What makes it different: no other crossbar product on the market lets you convert from a bed-cap to a full rack without removing the crossbars or buying new hardware. The X-BRS system uses solid aluminum T-slot extrusion with CNC machined corner brackets — the same components you'll use in a full bed rack.

Start with the low-profile crossbar for daily use, luggage, or cargo coverage. When you're ready for your full XTR bed rack, the same crossbars become the foundation of your rack system — just add the uprights and side braces.
Configure it as follows:
If you have a Retrax XR Bedcover select the TYPE "RETRAX BEDCOVER MOUNTS", otherwise, select the "UNIVERSAL MOUNTS".
UNIVERSAL MOUNTS Will allow you to mount under many tonneau covers with a few exceptions. Limitations would be some of the Tri-Fold covers that won't allow for full opening of slats, and other tonneau covers that extend further than into the bedrails beyond the 3.3" of clearance provided by our brackets.

Our posted lead times are only estimations and rely on various factors, many times outside of our control. Historic challenging times within our industry have caused ripples in the supply chain world that have repercussions even on the smallest of components at times. As you would imagine, many companies in our industry are experiencing the same.
Our bed racks are super cool, with the ability to be customized. But this causes a series of challenges due to the thousands of possible combinations regarding compatibility, availability, etc. However, we are constantly aiming at improving our processes, hiring and training our people to achieve a reliable fulfillment process.

Xtrusion Overland started supplying various brands that go hand in hand with our own products, to provide a complete service and help us grow. This includes products that are drop shipped. Please be advised that availability and lead times of those product are solely impacted by the third-party vendor's schedule. Many products are sold under an open inventory method, as the technology to sync inventories is limited, therefore please reach out if a specific product is needed by a specific date for us to double check with the supplier for you!
Any potential delay that occurs in the sourcing, processing, or drop shipment at the third party level will be communicated to the best of our ability to the customer.
ESTIMATED DATE | LEAD TIMES
The estimated lead time provided when you placed your order is JUST AN ESTIMATE. It is not a guarantee that the product will be shipped on that date. The estimated lead time gives you some sense of what the current times to source, cut, pack and ship takes. Many times the lead time can be shorter, but likewise it can extend, depending on factors such as previous demand and current supply. We manufacture many components in house, but extenuating circumstances such as down time for maintenance or unscheduled downtimes for repairs might impact dates as well as delays related to our sourced components. There is a constant flow of parts and shipments, and sometimes the visibility becomes a challenge to pinpoint exactly when your product will ship.
Feel free to check on your order at any time. Be aware that our customer service team may not be able to give you an exact date for completion but rest assured we are tracking your order and it will be built in the order that it was received.
Xtrusion Overland also reserves the right to cancel items from an order, offer an alternative substitution or issue refund accordingly when product is delayed at an unacceptable time frame or at the request of the customer.

What is the XBRS crossbar system?
The X-BRS is a low-profile bed crossbar kit built from solid aluminum T-slot extrusion and CNC-machined corner brackets. It carries cargo, rooftop tents, recovery gear and more while keeping a low, sleek profile — and its patent-pending design lets you convert it to a full bed rack later.
Universal Mount vs Retrax XR Mount — which do I pick?
If you run a Retrax XR retractable bed cover, choose the Retrax XR Bedcover Mount. Otherwise choose the Universal Mount, which fits under most tonneau covers thanks to 3.3" of bracket clearance. A few exceptions apply — some tri-fold covers won't fully open, and covers that extend into the bedrails past that clearance won't clear.
Can I upgrade to a full bed rack later?
Yes — that's the whole point. The XBRS shares the same T-slot frame system as our full bed racks, so you can add uprights and convert to a complete XTR / XO.SKLTN bed rack down the road. No other crossbar on the market offers this modularity.
What's included, and what isn't?
You get the crossbar kit with CNC corner brackets and your chosen mounts. It does not include MOLLE plates or top braces — those are available separately (Tread MOLLE Plates and Side/Top Brace sets) so you can build it up over time.
What heights are available?
Two bracket heights: 6H and 8H. Pick based on the clearance and cargo room you want above the bed — both share the same T-slot frame and billet corners.
How is it warrantied, and where is it made?
