Fits every Jeep Gladiator (JT) — model years 2020 and up, all trims, 5-ft bed. Designed and built in Wichita, Kansas.
(The JT launched in 2019; those first trucks are titled as 2020s, and this fits them.)
The XO.SKLTN is a Jeep Gladiator bed cap that starts life as a bed rack. Order the rack alone and run it open for rooftop tents, recovery gear and bikes; add the topper panel kit whenever you're ready and it becomes a fully enclosed aluminum camper shell with hinged, full-access side panels and a locking rear hatch. Every piece is T-slot profile construction, so lights, MOLLE panels, awnings and crossbars bolt on anywhere along the rails without drilling.
⚠️ BEFORE YOU ORDER — HOW THIS MOUNTS TO YOUR GLADIATOR
The XO.SKLTN clamps to the Gladiator's bed rails one of two ways, and neither mounting part is included in this kit:
- Trail Rail bed rail system (recommended). If your Gladiator already has a Trail Rail-style cargo rail system, the clamps use it. If it doesn't, add the TeraFlex Uinta Cargo Bed Rail System for Jeep Gladiator to your cart, or pick one up from your Jeep dealer, before your XO.SKLTN arrives.
- Pinch plate method. No Trail Rail? Add our XTR Pinch Plate Mounting Kit — set of 4 to your cart. It clamps the rack to the bare bed rail.
Pick one before checkout. Orders that arrive without Trail Rails or the pinch plate set can't be installed until one is on hand.
Why the Gladiator version is its own design
The Gladiator XO.SKLTN uses 9° corner brackets instead of the 13° brackets on every other XO.SKLTN. Those eight CNC-machined billet brackets set the whole shape of the cap: the front uprights stand nearly vertical, the rear uprights lean toward the cab, and the sides tuck inward toward the top, matching the Gladiator's bed. Because of that, the brackets, gussets, hinges, seal brackets, front panel, topper panels and MOLLE panels on this kit are all Gladiator-specific and don't interchange with the Tacoma, Tundra, F-150 or any other XO.SKLTN.
The Gladiator is a mid-size truck with a full-size-shaped bed, so this is not a Tacoma kit with different brackets. Reinforcement gussets are included at every corner, the bed clamps run in an inverted orientation to suit the Jeep's rail, and the topper uses our full-size MOLLE panels rather than the mid-size panels that ship on other mid-size trucks. The front panel is a flat Gladiator-specific panel instead of the recessed front panel used on other XO.SKLTN toppers, which keeps the cap tight to the back of the cab. Two of the six billet hinges are Gladiator-only front hinges cut to the near-vertical front upright. Gladiator-length topper crossbars (51.5") and side braces (55.5") are sized to this bed and available as add-ons.
Choose your height (measured from the top of the bed rail)
- Mid Height (18") — sits about 4–5" below the hardtop. Lowest profile, best for bed-rack-mode tents and garage clearance. Topper side panels carry up to 100 lb per side.
- Full Height (24") — roughly an inch above the hardtop at the edges. Maximum enclosed cargo room and a flat deck across the roofline. Side panels carry up to 150 lb per side. The upcoming window option is Full Height only.

Order Stage 1 now and add the Gladiator topper panel kit later — same height required. Total system weight approximately 110–135 lb depending on stage.
MOLLE panels mount differently in each mode. In bed-rack mode (Stage 1B) they bolt straight to the frame with panel brackets. In topper mode (Stage 2B) they mount to the topper side panels on a side brace set — either the 15-series 3075 braces or the lighter 10-series 1050 pair. Every stage ships with the brackets its MOLLE panels need; see the FAQ if you plan to start with 1B and add the topper later.
Load ratings
450 lb dynamic off-road, 850 lb dynamic on-road, 1,550 lb static (evenly distributed), or your Gladiator's bed-rail and payload rating, whichever is lower. The rack's own weight counts against payload.
What's included (Stage 2A / 2B)
Rack frame with eight Gladiator billet corner brackets, four reinforcement gussets and 3D-printed bracket covers; four two-piece bed clamps; double-bulb bed seal; front, rear, two side and three top panels; six billet hinges (two Gladiator front hinges); gas struts; keyed quarter-turn locks on both side panels and the rear hatch; 12 Gladiator corner seal brackets with EPDM panel seal; front brace bar; black RTV silicone; thread locker; all hardware. Stage 1 kits include the frame, clamps, gussets, covers and MOLLE panels.
Weather tight, not waterproof
The topper is a modular, bolt-together design. Installed per the instructions with the supplied RTV silicone at the seams, it is guaranteed weather tight — that's how we build and test it. Because installation is DIY, the result depends on your sealing work: a modular shell has many seams, and in heavy rain a small gap can show up as a drip. If you find one, add RTV at that seam — it's a seal gap, not a defect. It is not a molded fiberglass shell, so keep electronics in the side-panel areas protected and give them secondary water protection.
Grows with your Gladiator
Add XO.SKLTN MOLLE Panels, the Gladiator Front MOLLE Panel, Topper Crossbars, Awning Mounts (either side, 270° awnings up to 80 lb), the Gear Cage for inside-wall storage, and the third brake/chase light housing. A camper-mode pass-through tent is coming for the Gladiator in 2027 — see the FAQ.
Jeep Gladiator XO.SKLTN — FAQ
How much does it weigh, and will my Gladiator sag?
Approximately 110–135 lb depending on stage, all T-slot aluminum — in the same range as the lightest aluminum caps made for the JT and well under a fiberglass cap. The weight sits on the bed rails, so most owners see little or no rear drop.
Do I need a Trail Rail system?
Not required, but recommended. A Trail Rail-style bed rail system (we sell the TeraFlex Uinta Cargo Bed Rail System; the factory Trail Rail works too) gives the clamps the cleanest mount. Without one, the XO.SKLTN mounts with our 4-piece pinch plate kit (sold separately). Either way you must have one of the two on hand to install — see the notice at the top of this page.
How tall is it next to the cab?
Measured from the bed rail top: Mid Height adds 18" and sits about 4–5" below the hardtop; Full Height adds 24", about an inch above the hardtop at the edges.
Does it work with the hardtop and the soft top?
Yes. The topper mounts to the bed, not the cab, so run it with the Freedom panels off, the hardtop rear window open, or a soft top.
Can I reach the bed from the cab?
The standard front panel is solid for the tightest weather seal, so there's no pass-through today. A window option — front and rear windows, with a front window that opens for access through the Gladiator's rear slider — is in development for Full Height toppers only. If cab access matters to you, order Full Height so you can add it when it releases. (The camper-mode pass-through tent is a separate feature — see the next question.)
Is there a camper mode / pass-through tent?
Yes. Camper mode is a removable pass-through tent that mounts to the topper, so it can be added to any XO.SKLTN later. The design is finished and tested; because it's a new assembly process for our team, we're rolling it out slowly, and Gladiator availability is now 2027. Tent dimensions: 94" internal length, 70" mattress length with a standard 3" mattress, and a 24"-wide pass-through opening (subject to change). What about the gap at the tailgate?
The XO.SKLTN seals to the bed rails and between its own panels, but the Gladiator's tailgate leaves factory gaps at the corners and around the tie-down cutouts, the same as with any cap. We recommend a third-party tailgate seal kit if you want the bed fully closed off from dust and water.
Can I put a rooftop tent on it?
Yes, in bed-rack mode or on the topper. On the topper, a tent mounts directly to the top panels up to 400 lb dynamic, or to the XO.SKLTN Topper Crossbars up to 250 lb dynamic; static capacity is 1,550 lb either way.
Does it lock?
Yes. The side panels and the rear hatch each close on keyed quarter-turn locks — one key for both side panels, a separate key for the rear hatch (both included). An optional Pop & Lock power lock for the rear hatch, operated from your Gladiator's key fob, is coming soon.
Will the side panels flex or sag over time?
The panels hang on billet aluminum hinges and bolt to a T-slot frame rather than a skin, with gas struts to hold them open. Each side panel is rated for 100 lb (Mid Height) or 150 lb (Full Height) of mounted gear.
Is it a slant-back?
No. Full-height, squared-off sides give maximum inside volume and a flat top for tents and crossbars.
Does it fit the Mojave, Rubicon and Willys? Spray-in liner? Rail caps?
Every Gladiator (model years 2020 and up, including the first trucks built in 2019) has the same 5-ft bed, so yes to all trims. The bed clamps fit over the factory plastic rail caps without removing them, and a spray-in liner doesn't affect the mount.
Is it waterproof?
Weather tight, not waterproof — see above.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, and most owners do. Bed Rack frame from 2 hrs to 4 hrs depending on skill level. For topper mode plan anywhere from a full day to a full weekend depending on skill level. It's an easy process, just a long one. Fine tuning latches and locks can take a few tries. Part of the excitement and pride of owning an XO.SKLTN is its building and assembly process, be mentally prepared to wrench for a while. Plan on a helper for hanging the side and rear panels and seating the top panels (unless you flip it and assemble on table / floor). The frame can be built on a table, set on the bed and clamped; the panels, hinges and seals follow. Thread locker, bed seal, EPDM seal and RTV are in the box. You supply: 1/4" ball-end, 3/16", 3 mm and 4 mm Allen keys, 7/16" and 1/2" wrenches or sockets, a rubber mallet, a flat screwdriver or small pry bar, and masking tape. No drilling. If you're not mechanically inclined, not great with instructions or don't have the time, we have assembly and installation slots available in Wichita KS. If you prefer to take to a local shop, they need to be experienced in this type of modular assembly and not compare with a Tactical Cap installation process. (this is more time consuming). I bought Stage 1B. If I add the topper later, can I reuse my MOLLE panels?
Yes — the panels carry over, but the brackets don't. In bed-rack mode the MOLLE panels bolt to the frame with panel brackets; in topper mode they mount to the side panels on a brace set (3075 or 1050), so you'll need the topper-mode brackets when you upgrade. Contact customer service at support@xtrusion-overland.com with your order number and we'll get you the right hardware. Stand-alone listings for these bracket and hardware kits are coming soon.
Can I get it in a custom color?
Custom colors may be available for a $600 upcharge. Because the parts are finished to order, a custom color extends the lead time. Contact customer service at support@xtrusion-overland.com before you order and we'll confirm the color, cost and timing for your build.
How does it ship?
In several boxes: three for the topper panels (front and rear, sides, tops), one for the frame, and more for MOLLE panels or accessories. They sometimes arrive a day or two apart, so don't worry if the first box shows up alone — check your pack list once everything's in.
Can I move the skeleton to a different truck later?
No. The Gladiator skeleton is built on 9° corner brackets, so its panels and parts only fit the Gladiator bed. Other XO.SKLTN models use 13° brackets.
Is it made in the USA?
Yes — designed and built in Wichita, Kansas. (The future XO rooftop tent platform will incorporate select global components.)

Any potential delay that occurs in the sourcing, processing, or drop shipment at the third party level will be communicated to the best of our ability to the customer.

The estimated lead time provided when you placed your order is JUST AN ESTIMATE. It is not a guarantee that the product will be shipped on that date. The estimated lead time gives you some sense of what the current times to source, cut, pack and ship takes. Many times the lead time can be shorter, but likewise it can extend, depending on factors such as previous demand and current supply. We manufacture many components in house, but extenuating circumstances such as down time for maintenance or unscheduled downtimes for repairs might impact dates as well as delays related to our sourced components. There is a constant flow of parts and shipments, and sometimes the visibility becomes a challenge to pinpoint exactly when your product will ship.
Feel free to check on your order at any time. Be aware that our customer service team may not be able to give you an exact date for completion but rest assured we are tracking your order and it will be built in the order that it was received.
Xtrusion Overland also reserves the right to cancel items from an order, offer an alternative substitution or issue refund accordingly when product is delayed at an unacceptable time frame or at the request of the customer.

How do I know it fits my truck?
Select your exact year and bed length in the configurator — each XO.SKLTN is machined to that fitment. If you're unsure which bed you have, reach out and we'll confirm before you order.
What's the difference between the build stages?
Stage 1 is the open aluminum bed rack. Stage 2 adds the flush-mount topper panel kit to fully enclose it. Either can be optioned with MOLLE panels. You can start at any stage and add the rest later — it all bolts to the same frame.
Mid Height vs Full Height — which do I pick?
Mid height keeps a lower, sleeker profile; full height maximizes interior room under the topper. Both share the same T-slot frame and billet corners — it comes down to how much enclosed space you want.
Does it require assembly?
Yes — it ships flat and you build it. Plan on roughly 2–6 hours for the bed rack and another 4–8 to add the topper. Prefer it done for you? Assembled pickup is available in Kansas.
