Bed racks for the 2022 and newer Ford Maverick. Every Maverick has the same 4.5-ft bed, so fitment is one menu choice and what's left to decide is XTR1 or XTR3, the height, and what you run over the bed. XTR1 and XTR3 racks are built to order, to your height requirements, from T-slot profile construction. They install without drilling and are made in Wichita, Kansas.

One bed, three height ranges
Pick "2022+ Maverick" in any menu; there's no bed length to choose. The pre-configured and Retrax XR racks come at 13" or 15", soft topper racks at 17" to 19" so they ride over the topper, and Custom Height racks at any whole inch from 10" to 26".
13" or 15", and what about a tent over the cab?
The 13" mid height keeps the profile lowest and is the easiest to load from the ground. The 15" option, which the menus call cab height, leaves more room under the crossbars for bins and bags. A rooftop tent that extends forward over the cab has to clear the roof: find how far the cab's highest point (or the top of a roof rack) sits above the bed rail, then order a Custom Height rack at least an inch taller.
What the three ratings mean
Off-road is the limit for washboard and trail driving, on-road is the limit at highway speed, and static is the limit with the truck parked, which covers a tent with people sleeping in it. All three assume weight spread across the crossbars. On a compact truck the payload on the door-jamb sticker runs out quickly, so count the rack, the tent, the people in the cab and everything in the bed against it. Our overlanding payload guide breaks the total down step by step.
Running a cover on your Maverick
-
Soft and roll-up tonneaus: the Wide Width brackets on the pre-configured racks lift the rack 3" off the bed rails, which leaves room for most of these covers to open and close.
-
Retrax XR: pick the XTR1 or XTR3 built for the Retrax XR, or XBRS on its Retrax XR mount. A Retrax EQ takes a Custom Height rack with the Retrax bracket.
-
Softopper, Fas-Top or Bestop: choose an XTR1 or XTR3 Soft Topper rack. In most cases the topper won't fold down with the rack on.
-
Covers with their own T-slot rails (Roll-n-Lock XT, Pace Edwards UltraGroove and others): email us the model before you order.

Ford Maverick bed rack questions
Do I have to drill my Maverick to install a rack?
No. On the Maverick the racks clamp to the factory bed rails with pinch plates, or, on the Retrax XR versions, bolt to the cover's own rails, and they come back off without leaving holes.
XTR1 or XTR3 on a 4.5-ft bed?
The XTR1 has four uprights and two crossbars. The XTR3 adds a middle pair of uprights and a third crossbar, which spreads a tent or a heavy load over more points and raises the off-road rating from 450 lb to 500 lb. The XTR3 starts at $500 more.
Will a Maverick bed rack hold a rooftop tent?
Yes. Fasten the tent to the crossbars with our stainless Rooftop Tent Brackets, keep the tent plus whoever sleeps in it under the static rating, and keep everything on the rack under the on-road rating while driving.
Is there a Maverick rack that works with my tonneau?
Usually. Soft and roll-up tonneaus fit under the standard Wide Width brackets, the Retrax XR has its own XTR1, XTR3 and XBRS versions, and soft toppers have their own racks. Anything else with built-in rails, send us the model first.
Can I raise or lower the rack later?
Yes. The Maverick Alternate Height and Conversion Kit gives you new uprights cut to any height between 10" and 26", and the same listing turns an XTR1 into an XTR3. Side and top braces for the new height are ordered separately. XBRS bars can also step up to an XTR1.
