If you can use a socket set and Allen keys, you can install a Gladiator bed rack at home. It bolts to your Trail Rail or TeraFlex rails with the included bed rail brackets — no permanent changes to your Jeep.
Assemble the hoops
Slide drop-in T-nuts into the uprights and bolt them to the billet corner brackets. Leave them finger-tight.
Connect the crossbars
Tie the hoops together with the crossbars, side braces and top braces.
Mount the rail brackets
Bolt the included bed rail brackets to your factory Trail Rail or TeraFlex rails.
Lift & align
With a helper, set the assembled frame onto the brackets and catch the bolt threads.
Square & torque
Center and square the rack front to back, then torque every fastener to spec.

Start with what you carry. For a Gladiator rooftop tent rack, the four-upright XTR1 is the lightest full-height option. For heavy, mixed loads or MOLLE, the six-upright XTR3 splits the bed into four quadrants and carries our highest rating: 1,750 lb static, 850 lb on-road and 500 lb off-road. If you only need Gladiator bed bars for bikes or kayaks, XBRS sits 6" or 8" above the rails and converts to an XTR1 later.

What is the best bed rack for a Jeep Gladiator?
It depends on your build. The XTR1 ($1,549.99) is our most popular Gladiator rooftop-tent rack: four uprights, 450 lb off-road and 1,550 lb static. The XTR3 ($2,049.99) adds two uprights and a third crossbar for four independent quadrants, MOLLE packages and our highest rating: 500 lb off-road and 1,750 lb static. XBRS bed bars ($732) keep a low profile under most tonneau covers, and the XO.SKLTN ($2,300) becomes a lockable camper shell. All are made in the USA and bolt on with no drilling.
Do I need a Trail Rail to put a bed rack on my Jeep Gladiator?
Yes, for our XTR1, XTR3 and XBRS. They bolt to the factory Jeep/Mopar Trail Rail or a TeraFlex bed rail system. If your Gladiator doesn't have either, add the TeraFlex Uinta Cargo Bed Rail System ($347.99) before your rack arrives. The XO.SKLTN topper works best on a Trail Rail too, or it can mount to the bare bed rail with our pinch plate kit.
Is there a Jeep Gladiator bed rack that works with a tonneau cover?
Yes. Our pre-configured XTR1 and XTR3 racks ship on the Wide Width bracket, which adds 1.65" of clearance so most soft and roll-up tonneau covers still open and close. Tri-fold covers fit but can't fold fully open under the rack. For the BAK Revolver X4s/X4ts and the RuggedRidge Armis with MaxTrack rails, order the dedicated XTR1 builds that bolt to the cover's own rails. Running a Softopper, FasTop or Bestop? Choose the 9° Soft Topper rack.
Can I put a rooftop tent on a Jeep Gladiator bed rack?
Yes. Mount it with XTR Rooftop Tent Brackets (from $49.90, sold separately). A 23" cab-height rack sits level with the Gladiator's roofline; a 15" mid-height rack keeps the tent lower behind the cab. If the tent reaches over the cab, leave at least 1" of clearance: a 24" Custom Height rack, or a 23" rack with a 1" tent riser (our XTR Tent Riser Kit is coming soon). With our roof rack on the cab (it sits at 25"), use a 24" rack plus a 2" riser. Parked, the XTR3 is rated to 1,750 lb, enough for the tent and the people sleeping in it. On the road, keep the tent and everything else on the rack under 850 lb, or 500 lb off-road.
How much weight can a Jeep Gladiator bed rack hold?
Evenly distributed, the XTR3 is rated 1,750 lb static (parked), 850 lb dynamic on-road and 500 lb dynamic off-road. The XTR1 and XO.SKLTN rate 1,550 / 850 / 450 lb, and XBRS bed bars 1,500 / 800 / 400 lb. Your Gladiator's bed-rail and payload limits still apply, whichever is lower, and the rack's own weight counts against payload: an XTR3 weighs roughly 80–110 lb depending on height, the XO.SKLTN 110–135 lb.
How big is the Jeep Gladiator bed?
Every 2020–2026 Gladiator JT has the same 5-foot steel bed, about 60.3" long with the tailgate closed and roughly 56.8" wide. Because the bed never changed, one rack design fits every model year and trim. Our Gladiator racks measure 51" long, outside to outside of the uprights, and sit on the bed rails so the bed floor stays open.
What height bed rack should I get for my Gladiator?
Pre-configured XTR1 and XTR3 racks come in 15" mid height or 23" cab height, measured from the bed rail. Cab height puts the rack level with the roofline; mid height keeps a lower profile behind the cab. The cab roof sits at 23", so a rooftop tent that reaches over the cab needs a 24" rack, or a 23" rack with a 1" tent riser, for 1" of clearance. Custom Height racks are built to your height in 1" steps from 10" to 26", XBRS bed bars are 6" or 8" tall, and the XO.SKLTN comes in 18" mid or 24" full height.
Do I have to drill my Gladiator to install a bed rack?
No. The rack bolts to your Trail Rail or TeraFlex rails with the included bed rail brackets, so there is no drilling, welding or permanent change to your Jeep. Most installs take 1–2 hours with one helper, a socket set and Allen keys.
Bed rack, camper shell or roof rack: which is right for a Gladiator?
A bed rack carries a tent and gear above an open bed.
